All I know is that your sternum is the bone located between your pecs!. I big meal might put pressure against that bone and highlight the pain if it's already there!.
Go ahead and make an appointment with the doctor, though!. It's probably nothing big, a lot of people pull the muscles in their chest or what not!. It's just better to get that kind of thing looked after, especially because it's near a lot of vital organs!.
Take care, okay!? You'll be all good!. :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is prob just a pulled muscle in your chest not uncommon!.However you are 16 tell you parents and just have your doctor check it out just to be safe and be sure to get an EKG done that will show if there is any heart defects even though it is rare it still can happen!.So be safe and get it checked out good luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you were doing a bench press or something that spread your chest out a bit, your "pecs" would be torn and healing now, so you feel a pull outword from the actin, and miosin in the muscle pulling out fomr the center of the chest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Could be something like a pinched nerve, if it's bothering you and keeps returning it's best to go get it checked out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its probably heart burn happens a lotWww@Answer-Health@Com
