Question: Can a "brain freeze" be harmful to someone with a brain injury!?
Sounds like a silly question I think, but my brother went through a brain injury less than a year ago and while eating ice cream he asked if brain freezes could hurt his brain!.!.!. Anyone know or have an explanation!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
With "brain freeze" the sensation may seem like a headache, but in actuality there is no effect on the brain!. When cold liquids are taken too quickly, the nerves in the throat may give the sensation of "freezing" which can be perceived as a headache!. If it bothers your brother, just suggest he slows down when eating/drinking cold foods/liquidsWww@Answer-Health@Com
