Question: Burn care tips / help!?
i burnt myself today on a very hot muffler there where no blisters but the skin did turn white and is dry and stiff there is also no pain its like its numb any ideas!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a 3rd-degree burn, which actually kills the nerves!. You need to go to a doctor, as these can potentially cause lots more problems, namely infection!. The dead tissue will make the tissue around it die, if not treated properly!. Seriously, see a doctor!
In the meantime, cover it with a dry bandage (to prevent infection)!. DO NOT USE any Neosporin, toothpaste, butter, pee, or any other home remedy people on here seem to like to tell you to use, as they just hold the heat in & make the burn worse!.

Make strong tea solution and cool to room temp!. Soak rag in this, lay over burned area!. Tea stains fabrics so don't let it get on anything!. Keep applying for a couple of hours!. Be careful that this doesn't get infected!.

aloe, silver sulphide ointment, triple antibiotic ointment will work also!. keep it clean and dressed if it breaks open and begans to drain!. if that happens, see a doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
