Went to ER gave me so much pain meds, Couldn't be woken up.....?!

Question: Went to ER gave me so much pain meds, Couldn't be woken up!.!.!.!.!.!?
I went in to the ER on Wednesday morning with pain after gall bladder surgery!. The nurse gave me pain killers (whatever is stronger then morphine)!. I was fine, feeling good and had alot of tests done to see what was going on!. All was fine until Shift change!!!.!.!.!.
My husband was in the room to him, and I don't remember all said and done but the 1st shift nurses came in, asking how I was and walked out before letting us answer!!! I know I was out of it and told my husband the pain level I was in!. I started out going into the ER with pain 20, even know that wasn't really a "choice" as they used 0-10 pain lever!. I was saying I was in pain 7!. He had to go to the nurses each time!. They only checked in ONCE and thats when they 1st came on!. We could hear them talking and complaining about personal things at the nurses station!. I guess each time My hubby told them I said I was in pain, They would come in and give me more drugs!.
My husband said he noiced my hands/feet where turning blue!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Fentanyl is stronger than morphine, perhaps this is what they gave you!. I would definitely consult with the supervisors there!. What happened was unacceptable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your question is a bit confusing, what are you asking exactly!? I don't know what is stronger than morphine!. So you were in pain and they gave you painkillers, you were still in pain so they gave you more!. Then you passed out!. Is that correct!? The hospital would keep you overnight if they have given you painkillers just for observation because sometimes people just have a bad reaction to them, not because they have made a mistake!.

I don't mean to sound like i'm arguing with you, i'm just trying to get a clear picture!. They were giving to painkillers when you were asleep!. So how did you pass out when you were asleep!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Likewise the trouble with intense pain, you learn to cope with it, until the pain relief works and then out for the count! So if say you were in 20 on your own scale and they gave you a pill, next you were in 25 and they gave you another pill, then 30, all the time the pain is getting worse and the pills are not doing the job!. So by the time you hit 40 on the pain scale, enough to make you pass out, on top of the drugs they gave you, you will be out cold! I know it sounds stupid, but we all have different pain thresholds and we can last and last and hang on, probably due to fear!. Once we cross that threshold, out for the count! Problem being our own body has shut down, we are then relaxed, so turning blue would be the heart relaxing, not the drugs!. Just a shame that you had to pass your own pain threshold, but on the other hand it just goes to prove how brave you are!
