Can bones become inflamed?!

Question: Can bones become inflamed!?

I have a friend (usually full of crap) saying she has an inflamed sternum, personally Ive never heard of anybody ever having an inflamed bone nor do I believe possible by the structure of bone but this idea still bothers me so can I get a usable answerWww@Answer-Health@Com
