It sounds like it is probably a sprain, but:
I fell down in like 1999 and hit the ground with my arm stretched out!.
My wrist hurt for like 2 weeks!. When my coworker saw that after lunch I had inflated my Subway sandwich bag, tied a knot in it, and was resting my wrist on it because that's the only way I couldn't be in pain, she pretty much forced me to go to the doctor!.
There was no swelling or discoloration, but it turned out I had chipped a tiny chunk off of one of the wrist bones!. A few weeks in a half-cast and I was good as new!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

swelling/bruising !.!.!.skin turning blue/reddish purpely !.!.!. there will most likely be a bump at the exact spot where you broke your wrist

and not forgetting the pain!

If we were you, we'd go see a doctor!.!.even if three isn't any bruising !.!.!.it could be that the ice cured that !.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did the same thing, and it was a sprain!. A broken wrist will have swelling, but most sprains do not have swelling but do hurt to move hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've broken my wrist before and and thats how it felt like!. It might be broken, but I would just go to a doctor or something to get it checked out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can rotate your wrist 360 degrees it most likely is broken!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
