Question: I am having major surgery on Thursday and!.!.!.!.!?
I have to drink Fleets Phospho Soda the night before!. I am not usually sensitive to things that taste horrible but I am concerned because I am really sick and have had a lot of nausea and vomiting for the past 4 months!. Are there pills, another drink that does not taste so bad or anything that will not require me to down this stuff!? I am on Fenagrin for nausea but it does not help much or I would just take that, drink the stuff and call it a day!. My Oncologist ordered that I drink two of them!. Can I mix them!? Please help!.!.!.!.!.I know I have to suck it up but I have little energy left for unnecessary vomiting and I know the drinks will already leave me feeling dehydrated which I already have a problem with!. I work for a surgeon and I know there are pills you can take but some doctors may not think it works as well!. The pills are just as bad as the Fleets, though!.!. its like 8 pills with 8 glasses of water every hour - every 10 minutes or so - for about six hours!. I did a colon prep a few years ago with Fleets and mixed the stuff with Sprite and then chased each sip with Sprite!. It was bad but not nearly as bad if I had just drank it by itself!. It doesn't matter at all if you mix it with something clear - Gatorade, whatever - something carbonated helps it go down a little bit better!. They just want for your bowels to be cleaned out prior to surgery!. There are many ways to skin this cat!. Stay on clear liquids for a couple of days prior to surgery and take some enemas the morning or day before!. May not be as pleasant though is an option!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
