What do i do for my tight muscles?!

Question: What do i do for my tight muscles!?
I'm a cheerleader, and I have been stretching frequently to get better at stunting (I'm a flyer)!. I have been stretching around every day for about a half hour for the past few weeks!. I began to see some progress, but now my muscles are really tight around my hamstring (It REALLY hurts when I do the splits!.) It happened to both of my legs, so I don't really think I pulled a muscle, but what should I do to make them better so I don't lose my flexibility!? Should I keep stretching!? Should I ice my legs or heat them!? If you have some kind of cheerleading experience that would help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
go to the store and get some epsom salt!. Run your bath water as hot as you can stand it and put the salt in and let dissolve!. You get in and soak for a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have any cheerleading experience but training various martial arts for 27 years!.

You have to warm up before you stretch!. Then at the end of you work outs!. Stretch again!.

Have someone help you!. When you do your stretching take it to the limit and let back until you feel a comfortable tension!.

Have the person helping put pressure on the limb against the stretch and push against them!. Hold for a count of 10!.

Take the stretch a little further, pull back to discomfort but not pain, have the person repeat!.

Do this in sets of three!.

When you do the chinese splits!. I'm sorry I don't it by any other name!. Legs out to the sides rather then front to back!.

Punch the inside of your thighs lightly!. More of a massage than a punch!. Move a little further out repeat!.

Stand against the wall and let your body weight take you down into the splits!. Keep your back against the wall!.

If you don't have the balance to do this!. Lay on your back with your butt to the wall, legs up against the wall and do the splits and let gravity do your stretching!.

Also!. If the pain is a pulling or stretching sensation, that's okay!.

If it's actually pain, you should go to a physician and have them check you!. It's probably nothing but there's an outside chance it could be a blood clot or thrombosis!.

Better safe than sorry good luck!.

These helped me to be able to do splits between chairs and to be able to throw axe kicks with enough force to do breaking demonstrations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
