How can I help tooth pain from abscess?!
Question: How can I help tooth pain from abscess!?
I have an abscess and I can't afford to have it taken care of right now!. I've been through a couple of painful cycles with it!. What i want to know is this:
Right now it barely hurts I would say a 1 on a scale of 1-10!. About 9-10 in the evening it starts to hurt more and by about 11 it's up to a 6-7!. Then if I lay down in bed it increases to a 9-10!. I'm talking SERIOUS pain!. That pain diminishes when I stand back up for about 10 minutes!. I know that the increased pain is probably due to increased blood pressure and flow to the tooth when I lay down!.
What I'm wondering is why I have almost no pain at all during the day!. It hurts for 10-15 minutes in the morning when I wake and then it's OK until late evening!. I can even lay down and rest during the day with no pain!. It only hurts at night!.
I really need a way to stop / control this!. I am having surgery in a week and am not supposed to be taking pain meds!. But Percoset is the only thing strong enough to let me rest at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ones pain threshold is higher in the morning and as the day goes on is gets less and less and this is why you can handle the pain in the morning and at night well!.!.!.your done !.so you need to get some antibiotics to clear up the infection , until you can get in to get it extracted or a root canal!. try sleeping in a chair or slightly incline to help with the pounding at night from the pressure!. oil of cloves is also a good helper if its a tooth that is broke down to the point you can put some in the tooth with a cotton pellet and cover it with temp!. filling material this can all be found at your local drug store!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
I think you better stop and get it taken care of man!. I have heard, and im not a Doctor, but Ive heard that if the infection actually gets into your blood, that can actually kill you!. I know how you feel, Ive been there!. Ive actually cried before from the pain being so bad!. I would call and get it taken care of!. They probably wouldnt do your surgery anyway if they know you have an abcess!. I understand the financial aspect of it too!. My dentist will pull a tooth for $75!. Chances are though, they would put you on a antibiotic like Penicillin right away!. That WILL relieve the pain because it will rid the infection!. Id call and atleast get an antibiotic, it shouldnt be more then $25 for that!. Do it as soon as you canWww@Answer-Health@Com
