Question: Will this bruise ever heal!?
I got busted in the eye about a year ago but the eye in question is still a shade darker than the other!. (And I already have dark circles around my eyes, so this really sucks trying to go au naturale) Will it go away with time!? Is there anything I can do to expedite the process of healing!? Or am I permanantly damaged goods!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dark circles "which I had" are caused by restricted blood flow due to injury or locked in tension!. Never had a problem with persistent bruises because I speed heal everything these days!.

It all depends I got bit by a dog on the side of my knee!. It has been four years and it is still as prominent as the day it happened!. The bruise is actually broken blood vessels and usually your body will absorb them but there is no telling how long!. I have one from a stick flying out from under a lawnmower!. It is on the same leg behind the knee and is so severe my doc said it will prob never go away!.It happened at 11 I am now almost 27 There is a way for the docs to take them off but most insurances will not cover it if it does not pose any threat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You know, speaking as one of experience on the subject, it's my opinion that the bruise should have been gone within a month of injury!. Why don't you contact an ophthalmologist!. It couldn't hurt!. I assume you placed ice on it in the beginning, and kept your head elevated to reduce the swelling!. After the swelling is gone, warmth is suggested!. A severe bruise will take longer, but a year seems extreme!. There must be some {hopefully repairable} damage that needs to be addressed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It will most likely go away eventually, but I once had a bruise on my hip for two years from a mere pain killer injection! It did finally go away though, and I'm sure yours will as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have dark spot ON my eyeball that hasn't gone away in the 4 years I've noticed its existence!.!.!. but if its just like a black eye, it'll go away eventually!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
