Infection where stitches were?!

Question: Infection where stitches were!?
Ok so i got stiches about 3 inches above my knee cuz i accidently cut myself with a carpet knife!. so i got stitches and then my mom took them out herself because she has done it before!. so its been almost 2 months now, and their is one part of stitched skin that is scabbed over and i can see the thread that they used on the inside(they are suppose to be dissolvable i think) so i tried pulling on it but i figured out it wasn't going to come out, now its red and its red around it in a circle!. its infected and i used the Epson salt to draw out the infection but i don't think tis working, maybe i should do it again but i have been putting peroxide on it the whole day, how can i get the infection to go away, and would this be the doctors fault!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The stiches the doc used for the dissolving take 3-6 months to dissolve, so if they are still there, its ok!.

The redness that you describe is from irritating the wound site!. In other words, leave it alone!.

If anything you should use neosporin, cover the area and let it heal!. If the area becomes painful and your swelling increases, head to the doc, you may need to get it drained!. Don't let mom close it to anymore either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ouch! Well, first, it was most certainly *not* the doctor's fault!. You can blame it on your mom!.!.!.

Stop putting the peroxide on it!. It kills the bacteria, but will also kill the good, healing tissues, not allowing the wound to heal!. Rather, buy some antibiotic ointment (neosporin) and apply it twice daily!.

See the doctor that put in the stitches! He may need to re-stitch it, and if it really is infected, he is your best ally!.

GO TO THE dR, ASAP, You need an anti bibo!. You can get a real serious infection which will spread fast!. When a person has stiches, very easy to get reinfectedWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try neoprene and if that doesn't help go to the doctorsWww@Answer-Health@Com

That would be your mothers fault!. You have to see doctor asap!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
