Severe sprained ankle?!

Question: Severe sprained ankle!?

I sprained my right ankle Friday playing basketball!. Landed on my ankle it popped and I went to the doctor and he put me on crutches!. I am suppose to stay off my foot for 7 days then go back to the doctor!. But when I sprained it the right side of my ankle was swollen immediately!. Now 2 days later my left side of my ankle is swelling up too!. Why is this happening!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
