Why would my daughter still have pain in her foot a year after her injury?!

Question: Why would my daughter still have pain in her foot a year after her injury!?
When my daughter was two she fell and hurt her foot!. For the rest of that night she would not walk on it!. It looked fine and didnt hurt her when we touched it!. We took her to the doctors in the morning by then she was walking on it with a limp!. The doctor said it looked just fine that she did not sprain or break it!. A week later she was still limping so we took her to the hospital for x rays!. Everything came out fine they said nothing was wrong!. It has been a year now since that has happened and she is starting to walk funny again!. She will sometimes walk on the side of her foot and will complain that it hurts!. A few months ago she did this!. Could they have missed something!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I feel sorry for her & you- You mention that X-rays were taken, and nothing was found wrong, maybe they dod not tell you that she could have had a hairline fracture that has now calcified, there is not much you can do now, as the limp and pain will take some years to go away-( personal experience)
Best is to try and massage it and wear thicker socks to keep that part stable, also the shoes she wears should be well fitting and no fancy footwear-Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, something could have been missed!. Foot is complex unit of bones, muscles and tendons!. Try an orthopedic dr now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely!. Get a second opinion!. They may have to do an MRI on the foot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This same thing happened to me!. I injured my foot and it would hurt so much!. I got an x-ray, but that didn't reveal anything!. The next step should be for your daughter to take a CT scan and if that still doesn't return anything, the best option would be an MRI!. It takes a bit of time, but it is worth it!. I'm sure with that, the doctors will see the probably!. It might be so small, but it can cause a lot of pain!. And have the doctor refer her to a podiatrist, she might also have to get a cast!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
