Did they instruct you in how to apply the immobilizer!? You might be wearing it too tight, which could cause swelling!. Be sure to elevate it and ice it when you can!. If this doesn't improve, go back to wherever you went to have it checked ou and let them know things have not gotten better and have actually gotten worse!. It definitely sounds like you need follow-up care!. Also the combo of 800mg Motrin and Lorcet is of concern to me!. They both have a side effect of nausea and vomiting and should definitely be taken with food!. Call a pharmacist and ask him about taking these two meds at the same time!. I wish you good luck with all of this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no "cure" for bursitis, just as there is no "cure" for arthritis!. My right knee has swollen to four times its normal size!. I have been to orthopedists who have recommended surgery, but cannot guarantee that I will be "cured"!.

The only medication I have found that alleviates the pain when my knee swells is Demerol!. Try finding a physician who will prescribe that!

I also suffer from severe back pain and headaches!. Motrin, Lorcet, have not alleviated these pains!. I now take 1500 to 2000 miligrams of Extra Strenth Tylonol three to four times a day!. This works for me!.

Unless you can find a physician who "appreciates" the pain you are having, you won't get any relief through medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is normal for the swelling!. Try icing it for 15 minutes and then take a half hour off and do it again throughout the day until it starts becoming more managable!. I know you're at work, so hopefully you can do this there!. If not, then definantly do it once you get home today!. Ice is definantly good for the swelling, but if the swelling does go down, after a while try using a moist heat for the pain!. It feels amazing!. Wet a towel and throw it in the microwave for a few seconds!. Careful taking it out, you don't want the hot water dripping all over you!. Put a dry towel over your knee, then the wet one on top!. As for nausea, that is not normal!. It could be a possibility that the nausea is caused from something else!. I know you said that you feel it when you are off of a pain reliever too, so try eating some saltines and hopefully it will take care of that!. Hope you feel better!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
