Can you move the finger without great pain!? Did the swelling pop up immediately!? If the answer is yes to both you may have injured a bursa in your joints!. The swelling is casued by synovial fliud leaking!. It will go away over the course of many days if that is the case!. The hospital can do nothing for you at all!. The key is can you move your finger joints without much pain!?

Even if you did jam your finger joint does it work properly now!? I have never known a hospital to do anything for a jammed finger!.

I had my wrist pinned by a heavy peice of iron at work and it popped up a large knot half the size of my wrist!. I was forced to go to the hospital where they all said its broken and preceeded to take xrays!. Nothing but a bump!. They did nothing for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have looked at the picture and you have a very obvious and serious injury!. I'm afraid you do need hospital treatment now!. the longer you leave it the more difficult it is to treat!. You need an X-ray!. It looks as though the finger joint is dislocated!. That can only be reduced by a medic!. It will not repair on its own and there are only temporary pain killers for the problem!. You stand a very much greater chance of the hand being deformed and getting Arthritis in the future if you just leave it!. Additionally you will limit the use of that joint's movement for ever!.

Go to hospital now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
