Question: Is donating blood/plasma painful!? Does it make you feel sick afterward!?
I'm donating plasma for the first time tomorrow and don't really like needles but I am going to give it a try!. Has anyone else done this before, what is it like!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Afterward you may feel slightly weak, but they give you some gedunks (old USNavy term for snacks) that restore your energy while you kick back for a few minutes and the you're back on the street ready to kick *ss or march for peace or!.!.!.!. whatever your thing is!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I donated twice!.It doesn't hurt when you get it!.just look away and take a deep breath when the needle goes in and just relax!.your arm will feel numb and warm when it's happening but you'll get feeling back soon after it's done!.Just a warning,the needle is SLIGHTLY bigger than a regular syringe needle!.before getting it done eat as much food as you can 'cause if you don't you can possibly black out or get a massive headache or nauseas!.Drink apple juice or apple juice afterwards and sleep when you get home!.There will also be quite a bit of bruising at first!.It is tolerable just don't look at itWww@Answer-Health@Com
It doesn't hurt at all!. I donate blood!. It might make you feel a little dizzy afterwards depending on your size, they make you sit down for 15 minutes and they give you sugary snacks and orange juice to help with any of that!. You'll be fine!. Thousands of people donate blood and plasma everyday around this country and they're fine!. I think it's a good and noble thing to do!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
no it does not hurt the only problems u might have is getting the needle shoved in you!. and i got very cold when i was giving plasma!. if it is your first time giving blood at all i would suggest giving blood first to see how you react to it!. and for your 2nd time give plasma it is a little bit different!. make sure you eat and drink a bottle of water befor you do!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've done it and it went fine!. I wasn't sick or dizzy!. The needle didn't really hurt either!. They check on you constantly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
