im 12 and i had blood takin for the first time about a week ago and the day before that i had four shots!. so i was fed up with needles but it didnt hurt at all the guy put like a rubber thing around my arm to help the doctor see my veins and he just stuck the needle at an angle into my arm that was the only part that hurt a tiny bit not much at all and the rest was painless only if you have small veins maybe it will hurt because he misses your vein a little but that still wont hurt much it wont be sore at all unless he misses it!. it will be a little sore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having your blood drawn isn't really that big of a deal anymore!. Make sure you relax, if your muscles and skin are tight you are going feel more of it than if you were relaxed!. (I know sounds easier than it might be!.) Try not watching it and make sure you inform the phlebotomist that you don't want to know when they are going to stick you that way you don't jump and have to be re-stuck!. Also try talking to someone to keep your mind off of it!. If you have ever had your ears pierced and can remember how that felt, the pinch is similar to that but it goes away much sooner because you are not removing skin!. You will be fine for your regatta if it is just your blood being drawn!. (you said shot!? If you are receiving an injection after that same thing make sure you are relaxed and after the shot move you are around it may be sore depending on the shot!. The more relaxed you are the less you feel!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

no getting blood drawn doesn't hurt!. The only problem is if the nurse can get your vein on her first try!. Luckily no nurse has missed my vein but I know of people who had to get stuck a few times and they said it did hurt!. But I wouldn't worry about that most nurses know what they are doing!. If your really nervous about it ask for a Butterfly Needle!. It's smaller and easier for the nurses to use!. You can feel the inital prick but after 1 second the small amount of pain is gone!. And it sorta feels weird getting your blood sucked out!. It doesn't hurt its just a little pressure!.!.But sometimes you can't even feel that!. And no you should be fine to go sailing!.

No!. It doesn't hurt!. Yes you can go sailing later!. You will probably find it easier not to have a sticking plaster, just press a bit of cotton wool on the place where they took the blood, till it seems OK, (unless you are wearing a special long sleeve top and are worried you might get a spot of blood on it)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, it won't hurt!. I had my blood drawn before, but I had a flat out panic attack since i hate needles with every fiber of my being ick!.

But it doesn't hurt at all, you'll feel a pinch, and maybe it'll be a bit tight after, but keep the cotton thing/band aid on there, and you'll be grand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are going to feel a slight pinch and some tingly pain afterwards but it's not like getting a tetanus shot where your arm feels sore the whole day!. The needle will not make you sore if you are having blood drawn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
