Question: Broken fibula, near ankle!.!?
I broke my fibula near my ankle 6 weeks ago and had surgery (pins and a plate)!. The cast is coming off in 2 weeks and was wondering how long after that it will take before I can get back to playing tennis, Does anyone have experience of this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may be some time!. Don't rush things you have had a fairly significant injury and the last thing you want is aggravate the injury site!. Just remember how painful it was - Arthritis is a bad pain too!. When the cast is removed ask the technician if you should have physiotherapy first, be guided by them and seek their advice!. They will know best!.

I have never gotten to the point of having my cast removed and doing rehab due to ongoing problems!. But, from what I have learned, don't rush into strenuous activity!. You should be handed off to a therapist who will work with you to get back to normal!. He or she might be able to give a time line, but be ready for setbacks!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
