Please answer my question! Serious knee injury!?!

Question: Please answer my question! Serious knee injury!!?
okay so i stepped in a big hole at the softball fields!. my right knee buckled, it snapped back far then snapped forward far!. I went to the doctor and they said it was a badly sprained!. so i was put on crutches because it hurt so bad to walk on!. it has now been two weeks and my knee is hurting sooo bad, worse then when i did it, and when i walk my just pops forward!. so i'm still on crutches and when i got an X-ray it said it was just a sprain but now since this is going on i have to get an MRI tomorrow!.!.!. or i guess today lol!. they did one of these little tests, just bending it and stuff, and it tested positive for ACL!. they think they found that because the swelling went down!. but anyway, I am thirteen, a little overweight, play tons of softball, and still have a lot of growth plate left!. do you have any idea about what could be wrong with my knee, do you think i will have to have surgery, and would they because of my age and growth plate!?!?!? thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did the exact same thing when I was 17!. They even thought it was just a sprain at first, but found out later after an MRI that my ACL was actually torn!.

They'll probably want to do reconstructive surgery on it since you're still young and active!. It's got nothing to do with your growth plate; your ACL is just a ligament that aids in stability of the knee!. Older people who are less active can get away with it still being torn, but for you, they'll do a reconstruction!. I got mine reconstructed for the same reason!.

The surgery isn't that bad!. They usually take a small piece of your hamstring tendon and attach it to the torn edges of the ACL to make a new substitute!. There's hardly any big incisions because it's all tone orthroscopically!. Odds are you'll just have some small scars!.

You'll have to do 6-8 months of physical therapy, though, which can be kind of painful!. But it works wonders, and if you follow all their instructions, your knee should return to 85-90% of its previous health!. It'll never really be the same again, though!. (not to scare you! It's really not a big deal, you'll recover just fine)Www@Answer-Health@Com

get the MRI done:maybe a torn meniscus!?
anyway:the MRI will tell the truth, don't listen to me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have no clue what an ACL is but i think i think you will be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

sweetie, do not worry, just take the pain and relax!.!.!.the damage is already done!.!.!.!.this injury will chase you for such a long time that it will become part of the family!.!.!.!.you said you are a little over weight!.!.!.you must get rid of that weight now!.

Another think is do not force your knee, i know it sounds so hard to do, but walking will hurt you more!.!.!.stay put in one place use your positive energy to cope!.

you can not play softball again, if when you recover that injury happens again your entire leg from the knee down will feel like an amputation!.

Knee cirgury is 100% guarantee that is coming, but 50 % chances of success!.!.!.I have a knee problem myself and it has been with me for over 13 years It even has a name and it is part of my family!.!.!.no day is a good day without ramon hurting me back for all that rough treatment of the day!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
