What's the best treatment for a sprained hand?!
Question: What's the best treatment for a sprained hand!?
I fell on it yesterday, landed on the palm of my hand!. Its slightly swollen but extremely stiff!. I iced it down last night to stop swelling but its still very stiff this morning and hurts when I move it!. Is it best to immobilize it or keep it loose by moving it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Cover it so you are constantly reminded that it is "hurt"!. Use any sort of bandage or glove that helps keep you from swinging it into a wall!. You can even use a Skater's Wrist Guard!. It heals from the inside so more ice or heat won't make any difference!. Doesn't have to be immobilized!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the exact thing happened to me once when I fell on my hand!.
don't worry!. just jeep ice on it and you probably will feel it for the next few days, but the pain should gradually go away until you're ok again!. don't move it that much because that might slow down the healing process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best treatment for sprains is to apply Ice for about 20 mins at a time to decrease pain and further swelling and elevate your hand so that the inflammation would subside!. Lastly, you need to stabilize it with a bandage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you should probably immobilize it and just try to move it every hour and keep ice on it, if it doesn't get better in a few days you should go see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
