Handicap Assistance?!

Question: Handicap Assistance!?
My sister just had a stroke and she can't move one side of her body (leg and arm)!. What can I do for her!? We don't have much money and I want to know all my options!. She's on Social Security Disability because she's mentally disable, diabetic and she has high blood pressure!. I want to make her life as easy as possible!. My parents are older and I know it's hard for them to take care of her all day too!. We're trying to figure out all our options!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can call SS and get the number for In Home Supportive Services!. Now either they will pay someone in your house to take care of her or will bring someone into your home!. The pay is really good and they do have benefits for the worker!.
What they will do is make an appointment to come to your home, see how much help she needs and how many hours you qualify for, sounds like full time work to me!. Call them they are there to help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Therapy, Therapy, Therapy!. I just had a friend go thru the same and therapy has done wonders!. She can now walk with assistance of a cane and can dress herself, and much much more after they showed her how to!. She is much more independent than before!. That helps everyone in the household out!. But if she is not yet capable of having therapy giver her all the support you can mentally & physically!. Monetary speaking try to not focus on the incurring bills that only stresses one out more and makes things difficult!. Talk to her dr about financial assistance for her meds if she qualifies!. Also your parents will need support as well a little reassurance goes along way!. If you have a large family and or she has a lot of friends please look to them for an option of staying with her and or taking turns staying with her and helping out!. Taking turns beween several people, if possible makes it easier on everyone! Even if they can't sit with her letting them do errands will be a great help!. Best Wishes on her recovery and I think it's great she has family who are there for her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
