What made you seek medical attention!? Is there or was there muscular weakness!? You state there is little or no pain!. Have you had a course of physical therapy!? The report that is given is significant if there are signs that go along with what is in that report!. In other words if the compression that is stated on the report is not giving you any problems then why deal with it!. Talk to a neurologist about this!. They are great at this for they do not do the surgery themselves and if they recommend it to me it carries a little more weight!. That said most surgeons today don't want to do spinal procedures unless there is a clear cut reason for it!. That is usually muscular weakness and or intractable pain!. If there has been no physical therapy a course of that might not be a bad thing!. Remember that the statistics for surgery on the spine at about fifty percent!. That is not odds that I would personally want going in!. Seek a second and if need by a third opinion!. If they are all in agreement then it would seem to me that the procedure was warranted!. Nothing is going to change what is on the report!. Arthritic changes are going to stay there and a bulge of the disc can be worked with!. The one thing that apparently is the issue is at cord deformity!. Again if it were me there would be a second opinion by a doctor that was not in the area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was told that I needed to have surgery while Im young because if I had waited, I would be paralyzed eventually!.!.If I were you, I would wait until you cant stand it and even then I would get about 10 different opinions!. I hope I have helped!.!.!.!.This surgery affects your vocal cords as well as your throat!.!. Good luck and I hope you get better soon without surgery!.!.!.:o)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Second opion would be absolutly necessary if possible!. Those are very dangerous cervical vertebrea you are talking about!. I dont know much but i figure if theres no pain it would be unecessary!. but if things start to go numb you have problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
