I'd use peroxide and Neosporin!.!.!. worked on my infected cartilage piercing!. The professional piercers always tell you not to use those things, but whatever!. It works!. Also, try Ibuprofen for the swelling!. If at all possible, try to get to the doctor for some antibiotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the doctor - cartilage piercings can be nasty when they get infected!.

Otherwise, clean it with hydrocortisone and apply neosporin over the hole and let it sit!. Don't touch it except to wash it, once or twice a day depending on how bad the infection looks!.

You might also try putting in a sterling-silver stud, as the infection might be part allergic reaction to whatever you have in there now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow, doing it yourself! You're lucky! It's more common to become paralised from getting your cartilage pierced than your tongue!! (My cousin who is a biologist told me that!) The confusion however is it is more common for people to die from piercing their tongues!.

But honestly, get some ice or anything cold to it to reduce swelling, use Savlon to clean up any infection and also bathe it 2 or 3 times a day with salt water!. (Thats how the piercer person told me to treat mine)Www@Answer-Health@Com

well you definitely to make sure the wound is kept clean so no infection sets in!. take some motrin or aleve to help both the swelling and pain!. keep your hair away from it and don't talk on the phone on that side or sleep on that side until it fully heals!. on my piercings i was told to rinse with a saline rinse, aka salt water after cleaning so you may want to do that!. if it gets any worse call up a tattoo parlor and ask them to take a look at it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
