Question: How can I prevent and treat calf muscle cramps!? (please see details)!?
Sometimes just upon waking I have a horrible cramp in my left calf!. Pulling my toes forward doesn't stop it!. It lasts at least a full minute and hurts like heck!. Then the muscle is sore all week!. I had a cramp Monday morning and it still aches!. I'm almost certain I do not have a magnesium or any other vitamin or mineral deficiency!. I think it happens sometimes if I wear shoes with any bit of heel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First !.!.!. standing on a broom stick (under your toes) usually relieves cramps in the calf muscle!. The trick is to try and relax the muscle as much as possible!. Stretching the legs (slowly, if you're prone to cramps) before you get out of bed can help also!. A common cause for cramps, especially in the hot weather, is dehydration!. Make sure you are getting enough fluids (not just water !.!.!. try a couple of sports drinks) throughout your day!. Hope that helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
