Answers:
It sounds broken!. When you see swelling PLUS bruising that is an indication of a fracture!. Swelling alone is usually soft tissue like ligaments!. You should find the nearest emergency clinic/hosp!. They will be able to determine if you need xrays or need to see a orthopedic MD!. Generally with toes and fingers they either leave them alone to heal on their own , immobilize ( wrap the broken toe to one next to it) or splint!. You should have someone take you!.,They will probably give you a script for pain medication and an anti inflammatory like Prednisone or Relefan!. Until you get to the clinic/hosp ice it for 15 minutes every 2 hours and take an anti inflammatory such as Advil !.
Hope this helps
BTW I'm a nurse if that makes you feel any better

if it is the bone in the toe they may tape it but if it is in the foot
they may have to put more on it to stabilize
I would have it checked either way may suggest something to dull the pain
I once broke my foot and walked on it for three days ( I thought it was dislocated as the bone was bulging on the side)
I now have arthritis from lack of taking care of itWww@Answer-Health@Com

yes its broken, you may need it amputated for leaving it so long, it may have gangreenWww@Answer-Health@Com

if its getting worse then yes best bet is seeing a doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com
