Sounds like you have what is called "runner's knee"!. I was just diagnosed with this and it is also known as Patelloformoral Syndrome (which can occur when you hit puberty and your hips widen a bit, that makes your femur (thigh bone) and knee come together at an irregular angle!. Or you couls have something called Chondromalacia Patella!. It can get worse if you don't get some help with it, you can tear your cartiladge making it much more painful and could result in you having to go to physical therapy for 3-6 months!. This is what I have to do, and it sucks, so I would recommend you get into see any Dr!. sooner than later! Some places have "free clinics" for people without insurance or who are low income!. You can find out abut those by calling the city health dept!. I believe!.
Take care, and ease up on activities!.!.!. Ice your knees for 15min!. then take it off for 15min!. then back on for 15min!. for a couple hours a day!. Remember to wait 15mins!. inbetween icing so you don't damage your tissue!.

*Btw, you CAN have arthritis at your age!.

Anyhow, wishing you good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh "me" - Oh, my! You need help!. The kind of specialist you should see is a physician known an orthopedic doctor!. There is one connected with every hospital or medical clinic!. He or she is the specialist who treats fractures and knees!. You might have damaged knee cartilages which can be very painful at times!. If you do not have a doctor available, seek out a nurse for a referral, or use the telephone yellow pages to find the number of a nearby clinic or hospital so you can explain your situation and lack of insurance, and ask for any free help available!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
