Answers:
Probably nothing at first!. But it will probably build up!.

Weight: there's research that shows we need sleep for our metabolism and to help with weight management!.

Stress: with less sleep, we're less able to handle stress, which can lead to high blood pressure, headaches, cholesterol problems, weight problems, irritability, nervous and mental disorders, and sleep problems!.

Lack of productivity: slower reaction time, harder to understand or comprehend!.

Some people seem to be okay with 6 hours of sleep!. It depends on the person, their age, their health (I used to be a very happy, healthy college student who only got 3 hours of sleep a night)!. Maybe it catches up as they age, or maybe sleep requirements change, though!. It has to be something that one is very careful with!.
For people who are more sensitive and need more sleep, lack of sleep or not getting enough good sleep can manifest in the body not being able to regulate its temperature (hot flashes or feverish faces), hallucinations (everything from shadows out of the corner of the eye to full on tractors in your living room), mood swings, depression or inability to control your "head," and insomnia!.

Every person is different, so they just have to learn and pay attention to themselves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Watch one of the newest episodes of Penn & Teller!. They actually explain the whole 8 hours of sleep thing is nothing more than a myth and recent research has shown that people who get only 5-6 hours of sleep are actually generally healthier and live longer than people who get 8-9 hours of sleep per night!. There is no set number of hours that you have to get every night!. Everyone is different!. DaVinci slept 45 minutes per day, taking a 15 minute nap every 4 hours for his entire life and he lived well into old age and turned out pretty smart!. If you are that sleep deprived, your body will shut down and make you sleep!. Most of the tiredness you feel from getting 5-6 hours of sleep is just because you are not used to getting that little sleep!. However, it is in no way unhealthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

um!.!. what!?!!? ok!.!.!. Lack of sleep can cause mood swings, hallucinations, bad judgements, health problems (new studies suggest obesity for starters) !.!.!. yawning!.

Lack of sleep can be brought on by:
Stress (new job, test tomorrow, anything)
Poor diet (enough fiber and all that jazz!? eating too late, etc)
and many more reasons!.!.!.!.!.

First, identify the reason(s) keeping you awake!.!.!.

Second, try to reduce or improve said reason!.

Third, get in the habit of relaxing before bed (don't fall asleep thinking of something troublesome)

and lastly, try to wake up gradually (set the alarm earlier!. Some say a 20 min nap is like 2 more hours of sleep)

6-7 hours of sleep is plenty!.!.!. more than that can be harmful to your back and spine!.!.!. think about it are we meant to be lying down for that long!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am 15, and lack of sleep causes me to feel distant from others!.
like, i'm not really on earth!.

i also become a lot nicer to people around me, haha!.
but, yeah, i also would fall asleep in class, and get in trouble!.!.!. oh!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I sometimes get dizzy and sick!.
I also fall asleep in class!.

I'm a 15 year-old-girl!. I'm supposed to get 9 hours of sleep!. The people that came up with that obviously didn't have all advanced courses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
