How do I know if my cut is getting infected?!

Question: How do I know if my cut is getting infected!?
I cut the top of my leg on friday, its about 2 inches long and maybe 2-3 mm wide at the widest point which isn't big but anyway!.!.!.
It bled when it first happened, I had a plaster on it all friday to stop the bleeding and then since then it's been uncovered but since yesterday, the outside of the cut has been slightly pink!.
And then all today its been getting redder, and sensitive!.
The actual cut is scabbing over!.
Anyway the redness and sensitive-ness (not pain though!.!.) is worrying me slightly!.
How can I tell!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the redness and sensitiveness is your body's immune response to some bacteria that entered your body through the cut!. I'd say to let your immune system do it's job (fight off the infection) and if it doesn't get any better (or worsens, possibly a slight fever) I'd see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When it's scabbing over, it is closing the escape route for puss and drainage!. If it is swelling and turning pink and hot to the touch, you need to get medical attention!.

Big one here!!! Are you up to date on your Tetanus shots!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would just put a infection killer on it just to be safe just a cheap $3 one at the drug store!. If it itches it usually means its healing so don't pick at it!. Hope i helped!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
