What happens if you don't remove a bee's stinger right away?!

Question: What happens if you don't remove a bee's stinger right away!?
My boyfriend got stung by a bee on his leg on Friday night!. He was never stung before so he didn't know you're supposed to remove the stinger right away!. It was red and swollen and itching him, so I tried to get the stinger out for him on Saturday!. I don't know if I got it out or not, so I tried again on Sunday when it wasn't any better!. It is still red and swollen and some clear pus (I guess it was pus!?) came out!.

I used a sterilized needle and sterilized tweezers to remove it, and I sterilized his skin first!. I *think* I got it, but I don't know for sure!. He doesn't have a fever but the area is still swollen and red, about the size of a silver dollar or larger!. He took Benadryl for the itching and it helped a little!.

He has no health insurance to see a doctor, and I am unable to find any info on what happens when you don't remove the stinger right away!. Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The pain, redness, swelling, and itching occurs because the bee the stinger has a venom sac attached to it!. All though the bee dies the stinger remains in you skin and works like a pump!. The stinger pumps the venom sac so that the venom will enter is skin!. The venom is what causes the pain and he stinger will continue to pump the venom his skin until you remove it, quite frankly the longer the stingers in his skin in your skin the worse the pain he will be in!.
If your sure that you have gotton it out leave it a couple of days and if nothing changes go see a doc!.
it seems to me that it isnt out or your bf may have a slight allergic reaction to the sting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will itch and bother him for a very long time (over a month) even after the stinger comes out!. I've seen syringe-looking gadget that is used for removing the stinger, you can try either the pharmacy or maybe an outdoors place to see if they carry it!. If he's not allergic, he'll just have to grin and bear it, the over the counter itch medications help a little on the short termWww@Answer-Health@Com

He should be OK!. Most times you cant get the stinger out!. Its always a good idea to get the stinger out but if you cant the body will take care of it!. The redness and swelling should take care of itself in a week or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've ever ment the similiar thing -- still a little bit annoy, here is the resource tha help me out!.http://health-insurance!.onlinebestoffer!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would cause an infection if its not removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not only does a bee leave its stinger in you after it stings but the venom sac as well!. The sac will continue puming venom into you if you dont remove the stinger right away!. Then you would suffer more swelling and more of an allergic reaction!. When I get stung I immediately get the stinger out and try to squeeze out some or all of the venom that was injected!. A couple times I was very successful and did not get any or very little swelling!. Other times I was not so lucky and ended up with a foot the size of a football!. Time(seconds) are important!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
