Answers:
First, don't give him any narcotic medications!. Use only OTC ibuprofen and/or acetaminophen per the bottle dosing!. They can be used together!.

If his toothache is that bad, he really needs to see a dentist!. With exposed root, it is possible the root became infected!. If this is the case, he will need antibiotics and maybe even an extraction!. Either way, he does need to be seen!.

Take him to the dentist, let the doctor guide the pain relief and overall treatment!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG get him to a dentist!!! It is obvious that the dentist did not fix his tooth right!. And before she decides to give the child ANY medication call the doctor or outpatients to see just what the medication might do to him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would not give a child a narcotic medication!. He can have ibuprofen or tylenol!. Norco is a prescription med, it is illegal for anyone elso to take it, other than the person who has the prescription!.for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

never give a child any medication with out asking a doctor first if the pain is that bad put some oral gel on it then go to a dentist in the morning but never give any child meds that are not for themWww@Answer-Health@Com

Why can't she take him to the emergency!?!? they do have help for people without insurance!. he needs to be seen ASAP ice pack and ibuprofen will help till you can take him to the ERWww@Answer-Health@Com
