Doctors and Prescriptions?!

Question: Doctors and Prescriptions!?
I know there are good doctors and bad doctors!. The question is: do most doctors care more about making money from drug companies or more about their patients and their health!? I dunno!.!.!.!.this is a tough one and I wanted other opinions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Most doctors comply with the drug companies and try to push their medications because of the benefits they receive!. (I hate to say that but it's true)

A small percentage actually really DO care about their patients!. If a doctor gives you one of the new medications that is very expensive (ask him), you can request a less expensive medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are totally right!.!.!.!.there does seem to be good, caring doctors and others who just run you through their offices like going thru a cattle shute! I just changed doctors as the doctor I'd been seeing for about 7 years really started to get to me!. I always felt rushed when I was in the exam room!. He never once sat down and really talked or listened to me!. He would write me any prescription I wanted, no questions asked!. I know my drugs as I used to work in a doctor's office!. He just rushed me thru every visit, and you could tell he did not care about me as a person!. The last straw was last year on Christmas Eve day!. I had a horrible case of bronchitis, so I thought!. I called his office to see if I could get into see him or at least talk to him!. The person that answered the phone told me he was booked solid and had no openings!. She then actually hung up on me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

They care more about the patients!. Patients are getting more suspicious and more educated!. So if the doctor seemed to just want to give you prescriptions and not TREAT the problem then the patient would start looking for another doctor!. Well that is my guess anyway!. Haven't had a case where I've needed a prescription that needed renewed, or a case where I had to keep getting prescriptions that didn't seem to help the problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My experience!. Consultants seems to have some formal relationship with the pharmaceutical companies!. However PCP, or Primary Care do not have such agreements!. Hope that helps!. Best of LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com
