What is th difference between open patella and closed patella knee brace?!
Question: What is th difference between open patella and closed patella knee brace!?
I'm looking into buying a knee support since I have just picked up running and it bothers my right knee sometimes!. Could anyone explain the difference between the open and closed patella!? I also have a bony protrusion (I think it's called osgood schlatters) under my knee cap, it doesn't affect me physically anymore but would this affect my decision in choosing one or the other!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You would want open patella; this is one with an opening for your knee cap (patella)!. This will allow you to move alot more freely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Open patella brace would have a hole in the middle where your knee cap would stick out of, closed does not!. For Osgood/Schlatters a simple strap that goes around the upper calf over that bony protrusion should do the trick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
