First, you need to strip down to the skin and get yourself horizontal!. You should start sipping room temperature water, small sips only!. If you hold that down, then you can progress to larger swallows!. You will probably not be a good bet for work today either!. If and when you get to tolerating plain water, you need to make the switch to something like Gatorade, to replace the salts you lost in the sweating!. In that sort of heat, you need to be drinking nearly constantly to replace lost fluids, and Gatorade is a choice drink for that purpose, along with plain water!. For today you will need to stay cool and rest, while you replace the fluid!. If you can't tolerate the small sips of water, then you need to see somebody in the ER!. Meantime, it's down to the skin and grin, with room temp water!. Not cold- your gut will rebel!. Not soda, or anything else either- at least not until you have gotten enough fluid in you to be taking a leak about every 3 hours or so!. If you aren't going that often, you are low on fluid!. If you have any powdered ginger or candied ginger in the house, that's good to settle a belly as well!. Ginger ale will work, but not while it's fizzy!. A spoon of powdered ginger in a cup or two of water, sweet with sugar to taste is the way to go, or you can nibble the candied stuff!. Minus that, it's just water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it sounds like you do have this, best thing you can do is go to the hospital, but also drink plenty of fluids orange juice, apple just cold towel over the forehead, and or full the tub with cool water and relax if not sever you will be OK, sometimes if you sleep it off after good hydration ! but if you went all day in the sun with low or no fluids go to the Er Emergency and tell em just what you wrote if real bad your dehydrated and they will put you on a IV of D5W, dextrose and water intravenously OK act fastWww@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure you keep hydrated!. Try keeping a wet rag on the back of your neck to cool the blood passing through!.

Mainly, though, just take it easier and walk a little slower and take more frequent breaks when it's this hot!. If your employer isn't a total sadist, they should be understanding!. If you start feeling faint or getting woozy or confused, get medical attention immediately!.

Heat exhaustion isn't anything to mess around with!. People die from it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Salt tabs might help and lots of water!. when I was a welder at Zieman Mfg it was well over 120 in the tin shed we worked in!. There were at least 15 people all around cutting with torches and welding "I" beams to make trailer chassis!.They used to come around a couple of times a day with a jug of salt tablets and they made us take them so we would not get dehydrated!.The same deal might work for you!.you can try those things you soak and put around your neck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Remove as much clothing as possible!. Find a shady spot!. Lay down with your knees raised!. Apply a cool cloth to your head!. Also, back of the neck and wrists are good places for cool cloths!. Take small sips of water until you feel better!.

The only prevention is hydration!. Alternate drinking water with a sports drink!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just drink lots of waterWww@Answer-Health@Com
