I cut my finger open is it to late to get stitches?!

Question: I cut my finger open is it to late to get stitches!?
Last Wednesday July 23rd I sliced my finger open peeling potatoes!. I went to go cut the potatoes bad spot and the knife went right down through into my finger, I sliced right where I bend my finger so every time I move my finger it cracked open!.

My father has lead me to believe that I may need a couple of stitches in my finger to close it up, because even when I do the smallest movement with my finger it splits!.

Is it to late for me to get stitches considering it happened almost a week ago!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is recommended that stitches be done within 3 hours of being cut!. If you could boil it out with hydrogen peroxide then use common super glue, this will keep it closed and promote healing!. I do this all the time and is also widely used in emergency rooms daily!.

What were you thinking, you should have gone to the hospital straight away!. Of course it may be to late!. Go to a hospital and get it checked!. But I bet they will say "you should have come when it happened"!. Even if you didn't get stitches you should get a band-aid or something!. Next time you hurt yourself or do this, go straight to a hospital, because that may be infected!. If it is infected it will hurt a lot more!. GO TO A HOSPITAL!. If they were to put stitches in they will need to reopen the wound, its been to many days!. I would have a doctor look at this they more than likely will not stitch it, try not using that part this way it can close up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it may be too late!. however you should be keeping it covered and straight so it doesnt keep opening!. you can get a finger splint at a drug store and wrap it up!. but not so tight it stops the circulation in your finger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well if its still exposed i would say yes, and its quite urgent so as to not get an infection deep in the finger or bone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
