i have a pineal cyst/tumor they don't know ye!.t i get excruciating headaches everyday but i can't get narcotics because in WV everyone seems to be on pills(oxycontin) time magazine did a story awhile back and called my hometown the oxycontin capitol of the usa so that didnt help!. when i go to the er they give me a demerol shot and it stops instantly!. i need a narcotic that last awhile so i don't have to keep dosing!. so i was wondering what i should say to a doc to let him know im not a fein!. also what narcotic sounds the best for me!? also ive tried topamax,elavil,OTC stuff like goodys but the only thing thats worked are strong pillsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I just watched a program about the OC thing!. Now yes it ruins it for us chronic pain suffers!. What you need to do is sit down with your doctor, explain everything and how he/she can monitor your intake if they feel there is something there that isn't!. You need to build a trust with your doctor!. I got luck with mine, she knows i have not changed my dose, in fact i take way less then i can, we built a trust i just have to call her and say send me more and it comes FedEx!.
Here you could tell hi/her what am i suppose to do go to the ER every day for a shots, maintenance is what you need, you need to maintain the pain!.!.!.Now you know if you wait till its to late the pain doesn't go away!. Well the pain never goes away but you know what i mean, takes the edge off!. The question is are you going to get hook on narcotics yourself !. Look at your own headline !!!!! Narcotics are definitely a danger and are definitely addictive !. You may have to wait to see the end results from your spinal cyst and see whether they remove it or shrink it with chemo !. There times that you may have to live with pain !. It sounds to me that you are going to prescribe your script by telling the doctor what you need and what is best for you !. You even said goodys !!!!! Be careful of prescribe narcotics !. I am sorry to hear about your condition and the pain it causes!. I would talk to the doctor, maybe make a pain diary for the next week and see what your pain patterns are, what triggers, what you do to ease it!.!.!.Then he can see you are trying natural methods to no avail!.!.!.!.!.
