Bruise after blood test?!

Question: Bruise after blood test!?
I had my blood taken last Thursday, and I seem to have developed a bruise of some sort!. It was bluish at first, but now it's all greeny yellow!. It hurts when I touch the place the nurse sticked me with the needle too!.
The bruise isn't all around the spot though, it kind of is a circle with the poke hole thing at one end!.
Will it go away soon!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A lot of people bruise after getting blood taken!. For example i used to get blood taken to monitor my very low iron (anemia) and I would bruise for a very long time (anemia causes a lot of bruising)!. It's also normal for other people to bruise because of needles!.

Try putting something called 'witchhazel' on it - this will help clear up the bruise and heal it!. You can find it near the peroxide and alcohol in the drugstore!.

Sometimes heat or cold works too!.

If it doesn't go away soon and continues to hurt called TeleHealth (canada) or another nurse line or see a doctor (either your own or a walk in should do)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my blood taken a few weeks ago too, and I had exactly the same thing!. A blue-purple bruise to start with, then it kind of faded to yellow-green!. Now it's nearly gone, just a smudge of yellow around one edge that you can only see if you stare, and it's not sore any more either!. It's perfectly normal to have a bruise like that after you've had blood taken, so I wouldn't worry!.

I hope it stops hurting soon, and that your blood test results all come back fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes this will go away in another week or so!. To help prevent this in the future find a better nurse!. LOL that was actually kind of a joke but not totally!.!.!.

To really help prevent it in the future apply pressure to the bandaged area for about 5 minutes this helps reduce the chances of bruising!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thats so normal!.!. its going away if its turning yellow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
