Question: Smashed fingernail, partially off!. Will it stay on!?
I smashed my finger between 2 dumbells this morning!. When I looked at it my fingernail was uprooted at an angle!. About halfway!. I put pressure by applying a bandaid!. I kept neosporin and a bandaid since!. Now 10 hrs later there's swelling and no blood!. The nail seems to have reattached itself!. Will it stay on!? Any suggestions for care!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Last year I had a similar accident, and someone recommended I go to the hospital to check it out because they said it was also possible that the tip of my finger was broken, !. I would recommend just going and having someone look at it just to be safe!. As they say, better safe than sorry!Www@Answer-Health@Com
if i were u i would just pull the nail of and wrap a bandaid over it untill ur nail grows bak i had the same thing happen with my toe taks a while to grow bak but it will be good when it doesWww@Answer-Health@Com
It can vary!. It may just stay on if there has been no serious damage to the connection but it may just drop off by itself if it has!.

it might be a hairline fracture, get X-Ray done ASAP,and seek medical help!. dont worry about nail it may go and new nail will come !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
