Question: Swallowed hard plastic and cut my throat!?
I love chewing on things and I was sitting around and chewing on a piece of hard plastic with sharp corners (from a broken CD case!. yes i know, stupid)!. I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing, and I accidently swallowed it!. So at first, nothing really happened but later on during the night, I could feel the hard plastic still stuck in my throat!. It didn't hurt too bad, but was extremely uncomfortable!. Today I woke up, and it feels like it's still there!. I don't think that it's stuck in my throat anymore, but I believe that the sharp corners up the plastic cut my throat and irritated it!. It hurts to talk/cough/eat and it's swelling up!. What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had sorta the same thing happen to me it was a fish bone maybe wait a couple days and see if it heals or gets any better but if its to bad you should go to the doctor right away!. Maybe shine a light in your throat and look into the mirror and see if you can see anything cut or still in there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
See a doctor!. I had a pill dissolve a small hole in my esophagus and it was a huge pain in the butt!. Foods with citric acid or sharp edges, ( applesauce or pizza crust ), will further irritate the wound!. Get it checked out asap!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
go to the doctors if it's really bothering you!. I would wait for it to heal over since I am afraid of doctors, but if it's really bad you should just go~Www@Answer-Health@Com
