I had a little screw last night?!
Question: I had a little screw last night!?
While making dinner last night in my crock pot, the lid handle came off and the little screw fell into the stew!.
During dinner I must have swallowed it but became aware of it when it was too late!. Do you think I wil be all right with the screw in my guts or should I go to the doctor!?
I am a pensioner and really do not want to go for an operation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is a "small" screw it should pass fine as long as there are no points on it so that it won't cause any damage to the intestinal lining!. If you begin to have any sort of pain or fever then go to your doctor immediately!. Take care and be careful of those screws!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if it was a flat tipped screw, you shouldn't have any troubles!. If it was a pointy tipped, it may irritate your digestive system!. I figure there was just one screw, so check where it came from and see if there are metal threads, is so, it's most likely a flat tipped screwWww@Answer-Health@Com

It should pass normally in one of your next few stools!. Try and see if it does (gross, I know)!. Kids swallow things all the time and within a few days they come right back out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
