Question: I was punched in the lower back
I was punched in the left kidney area a few days ago, it really hurts to breath in!. and stand or sit up straight, should I just wait for this to pass or should I go to the doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, the kidney is NOT in the LOWER back, it actually rests just under the lower rib cage in back, actually above your waistline so if you were hit in the lower back I don't think it's your kidney hurting!. Is there blood in your urine!? Are you having difficulty urinating!? Not likely kidney pain if that is not happening either!. I suspect you are simply badly bruised!. I would take it easy, watch for the symptoms I've mentioned and wait and see!. If the pain gets suddenly worse, you develop a fever, or you see blood in your urine etc, then see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should really go to the doctor or the Emergency Room as soon as possible!. There are many different things that can happen if you get punched in that area!. You need to be thoroughly checked out to make sure you don't have internal bleeding!. Good luck and feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
You may have a bruised kidney, in which case, it'll just take time to heal!. Worst case scenario, you could be bleeding internally!. If you start feeling poorly, running a fever, hurts to go to the bathroom, etc, I'd consider calling your doc!. Take care!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have been punched in the lower back/ kidneys twice!. It hurt like hell but I recovered from it within a few minutes!. If you're still in pain then you really should go to a hospital!. There is probably some damage that should be looked at!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
