Feel around there and find the sore spot!. Now get a small ziploc bag and make an icepack and put it right on there!. The local grocery store should have a selection of bags, get the one that's a bit smaller than the quart/liter sized bag!. You can fill it snugly with about a tray of ice!.
You can also get a bucket and fill it with ice water and put your foot in it!. But brace yourself, it's going to feel very cold to your toes!.
Put that directly on the sore spot and keep it on there for at least 20 minutes!. You need to do this as soon as possible!. The swelling is setting in, and the inflammation is going to be worse if you cannot move yourself to do this as soon as possible!. The more it swells, the more stiffness, the worse the recovery will be!.
They told us in high school sports medicine to ice down any injury as soon as possible!. Your recovery will improve tremendously if you act quickly and start to rehabilitate your injury!. The more it swells, the harder it is to flex and walk on it!.
Don't just ice it down once, keep it iced as much as you can!. The more the better!. You definitely have an injury!. The pain has a traumatizing effect and the more you struggle the harder it is to walk on it without reflecting on your time of discomfort!. It becomes more a reflection of how much you don't want to go through that again!.
A doctor can give you something for the pain, but only ice will get the pain and inflammation to subside!. Definitely don't use heat at this time!. It feels soothing, but so soon after your injury, it will make the inflammation and swelling worse!.
I hope this helps you!.

Please go and see a doctor or go to A&E!. You could have broken a bone or torn a ligament, or damaged a tendon or something!. Your feet are very complex and do a vital job so please see a doctor and try not to put any weight on it before then!. Take good care and I hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the doctor, get x rays, see what they say and they'll help fix it!. If you felt a pop, that's not good so go in to see what's wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rest, Ice and elevate the foot!. Take some OTC pain/inflammation meds and see how it goes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
