Any help welcome!.

I do not see a rheumatologist and was told by one in 1996 that he did not want to see me as I could not take any of his tablets!. [I am allergic to salicylates, lactose etc] the only pain killer I can have is 250mgs of paracetamol about every 6 to 8 hours and it is not enough!.

I do take many supplements!. [am an ND]

Any help welcome, exercise, pain killers, reassurance desperately needed!.

By the way it was diagnosed in 1982, proved in 1994 and 1996!.

Seeing the GP Wednesday as I feel my thyoxine at 100mcgs is low!.

I suffer from arthritis myself and I do know the pain that you are feeling!.
the pain killers that I take contain co-dine 30mg and paracetamol 500mg the don't take the pain away but they do take the edge of it to a manageable level!. I can take two four times a day but they do sometimes make me constipated so be aware of this!. I am surprised your GP cant help you Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cod liver capsules for the joints and maybe Prempack or similar for the bones, I assume you are 50 + so without going to cynical say to you, it is better to have all your problems then the alternative--Dead, I could take you down to the local boneyard, stand you in the middle and shout out who would like to swap with this woman!? You would see many arms coming out of the grass! Have a happy life!. DavidWww@Answer-Health@Com

Seriously I strongly recommend you try Cider Vinegar and Honey and give it time to work!. Three times a day, one tablespoon of cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey with hot water added!. Do NOT use malt vinegar at any time, not even on your chips!.

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe the doctor said that! Definitely try again as i'm sure new medications have been introduced since then and there might be something thatsuits you!.

Have you tried glucosamine and chondroitin!? It makes a huge difference to my aunt who's had RA since she was 23!. Also she stopped eating meat and dairy when she was pregnant as she could not take any medication, but if you are going to exclude any food groups check with your dr first!.

Another thing!.!.!. look up rosehip oil tablets, apparently there has been some research these can help arthritis!.

Always check with your GP before taking supplements!.

You could also try alternative medicine such as accupunture, I have read many times accupunture has been shown to help certain conditions!. My aunt even tried bees stings! (from a person who qualified in it)!. My boyfriend's mum has OA and says a hydropool has really helped!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi!
I'm 15 and I was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis when I was 13!.
I went to many doctors before I was diagnosed with JA!. I was eventually referred to a rheumatologist, and properly diagnosed there!. He gave me steroid injections into some joints in my hand, but these didn't work!. They work for most people, but not me!! (heh heh, lucky me) I was then admitted into hospital and put on a few IVs!. THESE didn' work either,so I was then put on an injection Enbrel(Enbral!?) and this worked brilliantly!!!!! Unfortunatley, they gave me terrible headaches,so I had to go off them!. I was then put on Humira injections:these didn't work as well as the last ones, and they gave me headaches too!. Throughout this time,I was also on steroids,methotrexate,anti-inflammatorie!.!.!. painkillers!. After the injectios,I was put on an IV called Infleximab(aka Remicade) and this is working wonders for me!!!!! I have NEVER felt so good!!!!! I am still on the methotrexate and painkillers and the anti-inflammatories when needed, but I am off of the steroids!.
I would seriously advise you to go back to your rheumatologist, and tell him/her that you know there are many different treatments out there, and you know that there is one bound to work for you,and one that agrees with your allergies!. If this fails,go to another rheumatologist, because you seriously need a treatment to help your condition, and you will feel sooooo much better after it!. Believe me,I have been through it all,and we didn't stop searching for a treatment that suits me,and we found it!.
Best of luck with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
