Answers:
When the cramp hits, the best way to get rid of it immediately is to push in the opposite direction of the cramp- then you make the muscles that are cramping relax!. If the back of your leg is cramping, push up against someone pushing down, or put the leg under something, like a chair or couch and lift up!. It sounds odd, but it works!.
As to how to deal with the pain- first of all, massaging an injured area makes it worse!. What you need to do is to drink a lot of water, as that kind of cramping liberates a great deal of lactic acid, the villain which causes the pain!. Next, ice, and motrin or aleve!.
Try increasing your potassium intake, by eating bananas every day or taking a potassium supplement!. That should help get rid of the cramps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is best relieved by lying on your back and extending the involved leg while keeping your knee straight and dorsiflexing the foot until the pain is gone!. Elevating your lower extremities frequently during the day improves circulation of the blood and avoiding full leg extension may be beneficial!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try massaging it in warm waterWww@Answer-Health@Com
