Have you quit smoking but actually feel worse??!

Question: Have you quit smoking but actually feel worse!?!?
Answers:
I felt worse for awhile -- longer than I expected, but I guess it made sense, considering how long I smoked and how much damage I had done to myself with it!. I had panic attacks!. I couldn't breathe!. I gained weight and lost my energy!.I lost my voice and was sick for two months!. My immune system went nuts!. I got hives!. I couldn't think straight!. I couldn't sleep for a month!.

I had smoked a long time and used it for everything!. After I quit, it took some time to learn how to really take care of myself and even longer for my body to calm down!. My organs were all damaged to some extent and there were some health problems the smoking was covering up!. Nicotine helps nerve pain and works like novacaine on your throat!. Smoking can mask anxiety and/or depression that needs treated!. Smoking may have masked negative feelings that now you are forced to face!.

I never got that joyful, feeling better feeling I expected!. I still can't breathe that great!. I know if I smoked any longer it would have killed me, if it hasn't already!. It may yet!. The damage it did was surprising!. I did not know about it when I smoked!. Healing is not really fun, but it beats smoking!.

I was depressed and not feeling too well for some time, but it got better!. If you can hang in there through the three month mark, it really gets better all the time!. I rarely even think about ismoking now except if I am very sad, very bored or very over tired!. You have to treat yourself well!. Getting rid of the smokes is step one, but there are many steps to take!. Make sure you are walking your head off to dump the stress and increase your endorphins!. Make sure you eat, sleep, relax and laugh a lot!. Be kind to yourself!.

If you are still feeling worse at three months, consider seeing a doctor for a good, solid physical and some basic bloodwork!. Sometimes the nicotine covers up health issues like diabetes, thyroid, etc!. so when you quit, you really do get sicker than you were!. Other times there is a self-hatred/self-destructive side of us that we have to deal with when we quit!. Counseling is good for that and works fast!. Whyquit!.com has terrific motivation to stay on track!.

Every quit is different!. If this is your last quit, you will get better and better!. Promise!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may be feeling worse because of the nicotine addiction!. It is normal to experience some symptoms of withdrawal such as depression, anxiety, fatigue, all due to the "pleasure center" of the brain not receiving something it had received for an extended period of time!. Best advice is to exercise if at all possible, and do other activities that you enjoy!. Good luck, your body will thank you in the long run!Www@Answer-Health@Com
