Question: Helpp!.!.!. cut my arm!?
i cut my arm 2days ago!.!. on purpose
i cant go to the hospital or a doctor or anything
but ive put cream on it and baindaid
but i think its infected cause its green and yellow a little bit
its not too deep but theres a little gash
will this heal by itself if i keep putting cream and bandaid on!?
what do i do to heal it!?

You could probably deal with it at home if you have a good antiseptic lotion and clean the wound thoroughly and keep it clean and reapply antiseptic and clean dressings daily!. However doing it yourself will take longer for it to heal and will probably leave awful scarring!. If the redness starts to spread you will have to visit the doctor to avoid blood poisoning!.
Your best bet would be to show the doctor now to prevent the chances of further infection and to get the best advice!. You dont have to admit to doing it on purpose - just say you were mucking around and it was an accident!. Of course if you have other scars this wont wash but you wont be the first self harmer he will have seen!.

you should goto the doctor if its green n yellow which most likely be infections!. not much you can do at home cuz it probably means you need antibiotic by now!. if you did the correct first aid in the beginning then it probably b ok, but for future reference its not that much difference then treating any other cut, clean it with alcohol and change bandage regularly so moisture won't form and infections begins!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you posted this 2days ago I would've said it would depend if it was a deep cut or not, but if it's discoloured then definitely go to hospital, but since you can't then I don't know, you can't just leave it!.

you need to go to the doctors if it is infected as it may require something more than cream and a plaster!. i self harm and it is nothing to be ashamed of!. your doctor will not judge you for it!.
if you are really uncomfortable telling your doctor that you did it on purpose then you can always tell them that it was an accident!.

Why did you cut yourself is my question!. You need to go to a psychologist not just a medical doctor!. Really is what ever going on in your life worth loosing an arm for!? I mean if its green it could very well be badly infected, what if you lost your arm over either depression or trying to fit into some crazy group!. I don't know how old you are but I assume your a teen, go talk to your mom, teacher, pastor and get some help!. Don't destroy yourself your amazing, because God made you that way!. wash it out carefully with soap, use neosporin and a clean bandage!. change the bandage frequently and reapply neosporin!. take a picture of the wound, if it doesn't show signs of improvement within 24 hours, get over yourself and see a doctor!!! check WebMD for more tips from qualified professionals (WHICH I AM NOT!!!!!)!.
