Completely bent back and set toenail!
Question: Completely bent back and set toenail
Playing football yesterday and as i kicked the ball it done something to my toenail!. I took my sock off and saw that the nail has completly been flipped over and wont budge at all!. Iv tried putting pressure on it to 'flip' it back and tried soaking it!.
Is this dangerous as in will i have problems if i leave it or will it just fall off!? I want to avoid going to hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

aww bless!. to be honest the best thing to do is go to the doctors, because it may become infected, and i am sure u would rather go to the doctors than get an infection in your foot!. xWww@Answer-Health@Com
Believe it or not i had the same exact thing happen to me earlier this summer!. What i did was i cut the nail off at the back straight across!.!.!.pushing it down was actually sorer!. I would put hydrogen peroxide on it a few times a day if you get sweaty or gross or once a day!. If you have the money buy some DuoDerm!. Its sort of like "jelly fake skin" but not really!.!.!.it helps soooo much!. it cuts the healing time in half!. There is a possibility that the nail won't grow back, but mine seems to be doing fine!. The little piece of nail that will be left under the nail bed in the back should fall out eventually!. That's what happened to mine anyways!. Keep it moist, after the hydrogen peroxide put a thinner layer of triple antibiotic ointment on it!. Or bacitracin is even better if you have that!. I played softball on it, and at first i wrapped it with gauze, then pre-wrap and tape!.!.!.less is more!. My advice, ointment, duoderm, "tough strip" band aid I did that for a few weeks, mine looks pretty good and it was like exactly the same thing!. Lifted up completely but still attached at the nail bed!. It won't be so bad, good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i went to hospital and they put anesthetic in my thumb and attempted to bend it back but it was too painfull even with the anesthetic!.
you will have to get antibiotics to stop infection
just trim the nail not all the way!. so a bit is still sticking up and put a bandage on and leave it!.
then when it starts to grow again cut the whole of the flipped bit off :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
