How long is it going to take oxycontin to do serious damage to my liver?!
Question: How long is it going to take oxycontin to do serious damage to my liver!?
I got hurt at work a few year's ago, and have been going thru a series of surgery's!. I am lucky to be able to walk!. my pain med's have been moved up slowly over the past couple of year's, but eventually got up to oxycontin!. I know that they are a long term drug, but not sure how much damage they are doing to my liver!. I have been getting some pain's in my side, right where my liver sit's!. only been on them since the end of april, could they do serious damage that fast!? I take them exactly like prescribed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as you take them as how prescribed and with food, it shouldnt do any abnormal damage to you liver!. Otherwise it wouldnt be such a common drug and legal!. You might want to have your liver checked though!. But if you are healty, you should be fine!.

It depends on what other medications you take, the amount of alcohol you consume, and your general state of health!. If you are concerned, have your doctor check your liver function !. !. !. it's a simple blood test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
