Question: Fractured my wrist and never did physical therapy
awhile back i fractured my wrist snowboarding and when i got my cast off they told me i should do physical therapy as soon as i could!. well!.!.!.i went but they told me to do the exercises at home and i never did!. doesnt seem like anything is wrong at the moment but it still kind of hurts if i move it in a certain way and its not as strong as it used to be!. could there be any consequences to this!. im 14 if it makes any difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Degenerative changes occur in connective tissues when they are immobilized!. However, much of this can be reversed with the appropriate exercise!. You might not get back what you would have had to gone to PT right away, but you can probably attain a very functional amount of strength and movement!.

However, most 14 year olds probably get a lot of normal movement and exercise even without PT!.!.!.there's a good chance you recovered much of your decificits on your own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Home exercise program is part of most PT treatments, if you do the exercises it'll get stronger and the pain will probably go away!. That's why they give you the exercises in the first place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
