Of course it does, but not too much and only very briefly, then it's over!. Afterwards, be sure to clean your ears and earrings thoroughly with alcohol regularly, and I've found a dab of an antibiotic ointment, such as nystatin, helps them go back in easily and prevents infection!. If they do get infected, that indeed will hurt, so take care to keep them clean until they're fully healed!. Also, avoid heavy earrings until they're completely healed!. Heavy jewlery can actually pull the holes downward and out of place!.
