Could my ankle be fractured??!

Question: Could my ankle be fractured!?!?
On last Wednesday, I sprained my ankle!. I went to the doctor on Friday and I almost detached my Achilles Tendon and also sprained my little bone on my ankle!. My doctor told me not to do INTENSE physical activity and then I went to a volleyball BYU camp on Monday and Tuesday (this week)!. It wasn't that hard!. All we did was reveiws on serving, passing, setting, and hitting!. We only ran 2 Suisides the whole time!.

Today, I had to skip the camp because I woke up today and couldn't walk!. Could It be fractured!?!? My doctor told me that when your achilles tendon is "ruptured", your ankle is more able to get broken or fractured!. I can not walk at all!! What should I do!?!? I am scared cuz school starts on Monday and I can not have a cast! I can't!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your health has to come first!. Please go and see your doctor!. Can you try to explain to the doctor why you don't want a cast!. Anyway perhaps you may not even need one but please go and get checked out and see the extent of your injury!. In the meantime try not to put any weight on that ankle / foot!. Take good care and I hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your Achilles tendon plays a major part in walking!. if you ruptured it then there is a pretty good chance that its loose!. Achilles tendons are tightly strung!. they are so tight that if you tear it it will coil up into a ball around your calf!. yes, you may have fractured your ankle, but there's also a strong chance that the tendon was loosened by the rupture which would have a direct affect on your ability to walk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm afraid you will have to call the dr!. to get advice on your condition!. For now, you can put on an ice pack 20 mins!. on/off & keep it elevated!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

go back to the doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com
